Va Va Voom Valentine’s

What an Open House! Hearts were flying everywhere!  A big I “heart” U goes out to all of you who ventured out in the cold on Sunday to join me in some papercrafts pleasure.  I so enjoyed getting together with everyone again.

Ladies Card - Filled With Love

One of the projects we did was a card using the LOVE stamp from the “Filled With Love” stamp set.

A little Hershey’s kiss fits right in the middle of the O!  Saw this done on a Leadership swap card. This is a great card to hand-deliver to someone, because of course it would be a little difficult to mail. LOL! I think it’s better to hand-deliver valentines in person anyway, don’t you?  I gave my customers the option of making a ladies or gents card. I’ve supplies pics of both for you.

Gent Card - Filled With Love

You can see the Shimmer Paint on the Gent’s card the best.  Unfortunately I couldn’t get as good a picture of the Ladies, but the Shimmer Paint was used on both.  It was created using a sponge dauber and rubbing on some Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint.

Supplies:  Love Card – Stamp Set: Filled With Love, Cardstock: Concord Crush, Basic Black, Melon Mambo and Whisper White;  Ink: Basic Black and Concord Crush; Accessories: 5/8″ Satin Whisper White Ribbon, Rhinestones, Sticky Strip, Dimensionals, Sponge Dauber, Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint and Hershey Kisses.

Springtime Vintage Valentine Pouch

The next project we did used the new Big Shot Petal Cone Die.  I switched it up by just laying it flat and making it into a heart shape! I love the versatility of  all our exclusive Stampin’ Up! Sizzix dies. This die also happens to be a favorite of Shelli’s. You’re able to tell Shelli’s favorites in our catalogs because they all have a little heart shape next to the item label.

The scallops on the top of the heart are the new designer series paper “Springtime Vintage” – looks like old fashioned wall paper. And to finish off  this project I added one of our new “Adornment” flowers to the bow … so, so beautiful and a vintage brad on the tag.  The “Key to my Heart” stamp is from the new stamp set “You’re A Gem”.  I’ve included a close up pic of them.

Adornment and Tag Vintage Brad Up Close

Hang this beauty from your loved one’s rear view mirror with some candy or love coupons in it or on your kid’s bedpost with some goodies or a gift card.

Supplies: Valentine Heart Pouch – Stamp Set: You’re a Gem; Cardstock: Regal Rose and Very Vanilla; Designer Series Paper: Springtime Vintage; Ink: Regal Rose; Accessories:  5/8″ Satin Very Vanilla Ribbon, Always Artichoke Seam Binding, Adornments, Vintage Brads, Jumbo Eyelets, 1-3/8″x5/8″ Oval Large Punch, 1-3/4″x7/8″ Oval Large Punch, Eyelet Border Punch, Sticky Strip, Linen Thread, Sizzix Bigz L Petal Cone Die, Big Shot, Standard Cutting Pads and Premium Crease Pads.

And, remember those little fortune tellers (or cootie catchers) you made as a kid to find out which boy you were in love with or to find out your favorite color – well we turned them upside down and made a basket out of them. Cool huh!

Fortune Teller Candy Basket

We also made a simple 3×3 notecard to go with the basket using Stampin’ Up!’s XOXO stamp set and Real Red Glimmer Brights Brad for bling.

Here’s a great video from Stampin’ Up! to refresh your memory on how to make the fortune tellers just in case you forgot.
