Anchors Away!

Anchors Away!
Inside of Card

I continue to love The Open Sea stamp set! I am so sad it did not make the new 2011-2012 Idea Book & Catalog – will definitely have to contact Stampin’ Up! about that one! LOL! Not too many manly stamps available, so make sure you get this one before its gone at the end of August. It is only available in the Summer Mini Catalog so you don’t want to miss out! This card was also from the Thank You Cards Stamp-A-Stack I recently held at my Home Studio. This is a gate fold card and is very easy to make. Just cut your 8-1/2″x11″ cardstock in half and score at 2-1/8″ and 6-3/8″. I added the two side panels of Designer Series Paper from the Nautical Expeditions Designer Series Paper pack. The panel measurements are 1-5/8″ x 5″ and framed out in Crumbcake at 1-7/8″ x 5-1/4″. The Early Espresso is so rich it really makes those little anchors stand out in Crumbcake. The other half of the panels is nautical knots and rope in Whisper White on Not Quite Navy. The gate closure which contains that awesome ship image on Crumbcake is 3″ x 2″ and framed out in Early Espresso at 3-1/4″ x 2-1/4″.

Also, don’t forget you can get the Nautical Expedition Designer Series Paper as part of the Stampin’ Up! August Special – Buy 3 packs of paper and get one FREE! Check out my website and click on the promotions page to get all the details at www.sherahlweadon.stampinup.net.

  1. Amazing how this stamp set is so versatile. : ) Another beautiful card!

  2. I totally agree with you about this stamp set. I am disappointed that it did not carry over to the new catalog, and also the individual sailboat stamp. I have used those the most out of the Summer Mini and will be sad to see them retire.
